🐺 Back in Super League🐺

After a season of hard work, determination, and incredible teamwork, we're thrilled to announce that the Warrington Wolves Wheelchair Rugby League team is heading back into the Super League!

This achievement marks a huge milestone for the club – a return to the top tier of the sport where we know the team belong. The team’s dedication on and off the court has paid off, and now the focus shifts to preparing for what will be an exciting and competitive season ahead.

As part of that preparation, the team travelled last weekend to Manchester to compete in this year’s RFL Wheelchair RL 4s Tournament – a high-energy event that brought together some of the best sides in the country, including several of our future Super League opponents like Wigan, Sheffield, Halifax and the newly promoted Edinburgh Giants. It was a fantastic opportunity for the team to test themselves against top-level competition and identify the key areas they'll be focusing on to sharpen their game before rejoining the elite next season.

The tournament was a great showcase of wheelchair rugby league talent, and it was made even more special by the attendance of England Head Coach Tom Coyd, who praised the club’s journey and impact, saying:

“The Warrington Wolves Wheelchair Rugby League team has grown tremendously, creating opportunities, inspiring others, and making a real, positive impact across the community through sport, inclusion, and teamwork.”

We’re proud of how far the Wheelchair team have come – not just in terms of performance, but in the role the team plays in promoting inclusivity and breaking down barriers through sport. The support from fans, families, and the wider Warrington Wolves community continues to fuel our mission, and we can’t wait to see the team represent the town once again on the Super League stage in the 2026 season.

And if you’ve ever thought about giving wheelchair rugby league a go – now’s the perfect time.
The team is actively recruiting new players. We welcome men and women aged 11 and over, and the sport is open to both wheelchair users and able-bodied participants. Whether you're new to the game or have experience, we’d love to hear from you. Come and be part of a team that’s competitive, inclusive, and built on passion and community.
