Be the Change
Who Are We?
Being the Change at Warrington Wolves Community Foundation
At Warrington Wolves Community Foundation, we are committed to "being the change" in our community by promoting inclusivity, well-being, and empowerment through a range of impactful initiatives.
Established in 2005, we use the Warrington Wolves brand to change local lives. We do this through our Rugby League, Health and Wellbeing and Disability initiatives.
We're working to create a healthier, happier, more resilient community.
How Are We 'Being the Change'
Social Rugby
Through our Social Rugby programs, we are breaking down barriers and bringing people together to enjoy the sport in a friendly and supportive environment. We offer opportunities for all skill levels, fostering camaraderie, fitness, and community spirit, helping individuals stay active and socially engaged.
Disability Sport
We believe that sport should be accessible to everyone. Our Disability Sport initiatives offer tailored opportunities for people of all abilities to engage in rugby and other sports. Through adaptive programs, we ensure that every participant can experience the joy of sport in a safe and inclusive space, building confidence and breaking down stigmas.
Mental Health
Recognising the critical role mental health plays in overall well-being, we lead various campaigns to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide support. Through workshops, outreach, and partnerships, we offer tools and resources to promote mental wellness, ensuring that no one in our community faces their challenges alone.
Holiday Camps
Our Holiday Camps offer an exciting chance for young people to enhance their skills while having fun. We also run dedicated camps for individuals with disabilities, ensuring everyone can enjoy the game. These camps help foster personal growth, build friendships, and nurture a lifelong love for the sport, regardless of ability.
Activities For Older People
Our commitment extends beyond the playing field. We offer a range of initiatives designed to support and care for the elderly in our community. Through social events, fitness activities, and well-being programs, we help combat loneliness and promote healthy aging, ensuring that our elders remain connected and valued.
The Arts
Our Disability Arts program provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to express themselves through various artistic mediums. From painting and music to drama and dance, we offer inclusive spaces where creativity flourishes and barriers fade.
