Wheelchair Rugby League

The Most Inclusive Sport

Wheelchair rugby league is an adaptive version of rugby league, designed for people with physical disabilities and is open to abled bodied too. It is played on indoors courts, with teams of five players who use specialised sports wheelchairs. The game combines elements of rugby league and wheelchair basketball, featuring high-intensity action, strategic play, and physical contact.

Coaches Comments

We look forwarded to welcoming Widnes Vikings to Birchwood for what should be a competitive local derby! Unfortunately, we come into the game with 7 first team players missing, but believe the guys coming in Like Lee Noble and Anton Tomlinson can help us get over the line!

We hope all spectators who are coming down thoroughly enjoy the action!
