Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Warrington Wolves Community Foundation?

Established in 2005, we use the Warrington Wolves brand to change local lives through the power of sport. We run local community projects for the most vulnerable in our society. These range from Rugby Coaching, Match Day assistance like our Dementia Buddies, to learning and physical disability rugby teams as well as, art, dance and theatre for individuals with additional educational needs. But that's not all, we have social rugby sessions throughout Warrington including Touch, Women's Only Touch and Walking Rugby. RugBees, our Girls rugby session available for years 2 to 6, an inclusive environment where young girls can learn the basics of the sport.

Why does the club need a Foundation?

The club has been a core part of the town's DNA since 1876, having a Foundation that provides so many opportunities to the local community means that we can amplify our message and make a real difference while hopefully creating life long fans of Warrington Wolves and Rugby League because we are more than just a rugby club.

How important is fundraising to the Foundation?

Fundraising is essential, it provides the financial resources needed to sustain and expand our programs and services. Without the generous support of our donors, we would be unable to reach those in need and make a meaningful impact in our community. The funds raised enable us to implement vital initiatives, support our dedicated staff, and invest in new projects that align with our mission. Successful fundraising efforts raise awareness about our cause, engaging a broader network of supporters and advocates. In essence, fundraising is the lifeblood of our organisation, empowering us to continue our work and create lasting change.

If I donate, will the club receive any of the money?

Donations made to the Community Foundation are allocated directly to our initiatives and do not go to the club. Although we use their badge and have support from the players and stadium team, we do not receive any funding from Warrington Wolves. We are entirely self-funded and rely on the generous support of our members, donors, and community fundraising efforts to sustain our projects. Your contributions are vital to our success and greatly appreciated.

I'm not a rugby fan, can I still donate?

Absolutely! You can still donate even if you're not a rugby fan. Our mission extends beyond the sport, focusing on community development, youth programs, and other vital initiatives. Your support, regardless of your interest in rugby, will help us make a positive impact and improve the lives of many.

"You can't just sit and watch from the sidelines. So don't wait for the change. Be The Change." - Sam Burgess

"You are amazing thank you for joining us and being a great teammate. Good people can bring about change. Your efforts will benefit and inspire many more. Good Luck and Be the Change."
