The Official Newsletter February 2021

Welcome from Neil Kelly, Foundation Director

“February has provided us with optimism, the vaccine given us hope and our Team have been reaching out with the 5 ways to TRY and cope with the pandemic. Recognising everyone’s well-being has been affected by the pandemic, we have thrown our efforts into raising awareness of the 5 ways to Well-being and connecting our activities to support you. We do this with the help and support of our principal community sponsor One Energy, our Business Patrons, our hard working team and volunteers and of course our fantastic supporters.

We went global!

This month saw our Women’s team get some global news coverage through Fox Sports Australia; our very own Roxy Murdoch, the first captain of our Women’s RL team, was selected to play for The Maori Allstars in the NRL Allstars match. Ex Warrington player Steve ‘blocker’ Roach was in the commentary box and he highlighted the story of our shirt presentation when Roxy came to collect her playing jersey in her wedding dress!

Our focus for February 2021 has been how we can support our community based around the initiatives of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing

This month has seen the launch of our Warrington Wolves Foundation’s Camera Club under the #takenotice initiative, a weekly competition on social media for our supporters. Just LOOK how good this photo of two swans is from last week’s winner, and how very appropriate for February! #wwfcameraclub

We had a phenomenal response to our Food Friends collections from our Warrington Wolves Girls teams #give isn’t always just about money, it’s often even more rewarding to give your time!

We’ve been hearing from our first team buddies, past and present including Joe Philbin, Stefan Ratchford and Super Bennie Westwood on how to #keeplearning new things during lockdown.
