Her Game Too was founded in 2021 by a group of female football fans committed to tackling sexism within the sport.
Launched on the morning of the FA Cup Final the response was incredible with over 1 million views on the video and 6,000 followers on their twitter page within the first day. 3 years on and they have partnered with premier league clubs such as Everton, Fulham and Brentford as well Women’s Super League clubs, semi professional and grassroots clubs and organisations such as JD and Football Manager.
Now Her Game Too is branching out tackling issues facing women within Rugby League, Rugby Union and Cricket with the aim of working with clubs to raise awareness, educate and create a more inclusive environment for all women and girls within the rugby league community.
It is with this aim in mind that we announce the official partnership between Warrington Wolves and Her Game Too Rugby being not only the first Super League club partner but the first Rugby League club partner. With this partnership brings the opportunity to make female voices heard and make changes if/where needed. This will include the introduction of female fan surveys and panels to voice their experiences at Rugby League matches as well as the re-introduction of the emergency number during matchdays.
Along with the announcement of the partnership comes the launch of the clubs Period Poverty campaign, providing free sanitary products in all female toilets around the stadium to make sure no one visiting the stadium ever finds themselves in need.
Everyone at the club and Foundation are looking forward to this partnership and excited to see what steps forward we can take to make rugby league a more inclusive and enjoyable environment for all.
