Handball

Handball is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the other team’s goal. There are 6 outfield players and a goalkeeper on each team.

The Warrington Wolves Handball Club is one of the most diverse in the country, made up of men, women and youngsters from the UK and beyond. As an inclusive sport, a wide range of abilities are catered for from beginners through to elite players.

The Club will always ensure that those who want to play competitively get the opportunity to do so. If you’re familiar with Handball and you’re already playing at a high standard, you can begin to compete for places in the 1st Teams immediately. If you are keen to experience the sport for the first time, our knowledgeable coaches will ensure you feel welcome from the outset.

In addition to providing an opportunity for everyone?to play handball, Warrington Wolves has 2 senior and 1 junior teams, participating in England Handball Association (EHA) leagues and cup competitions at different levels. The club also takes part in domestic handball cup competitions, as well as tournaments such as the British Cup and several other friendly tournaments around the UK.
