Walking Rugby Success Leads to Exciting New Partnership with LiveWire
At the Warrington Wolves Foundation, we’re passionate about creating inclusive opportunities for everyone to enjoy the physical and social benefits of sport, and our Walking Rugby sessions are a perfect example of that.
Over the past couple of years, Walking Rugby has gone from strength to strength. What started as a pilot initiative has grown into a thriving, welcoming community where adults of all ages and abilities can enjoy the game in a fun, low-impact way. Whether you’ve never picked up a rugby ball before or you’re a long-time fan of the sport, Walking Rugby offers a fantastic way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy a few laughs along the way.
We’re now thrilled to announce the expansion of our Walking Rugby offer through an exciting new partnership with LiveWire. Together, we're launching a brand-new weekly session at the Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub, starting Wednesday 14th May, running from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
This relaxed and friendly session is open to all adults aged 50 and over. It’s ideal for those looking to build confidence, maintain fitness, or simply connect with others through sport in a fun, supportive environment.
💬 “We’ve seen such a positive response to Walking Rugby already, people really value the mix of gentle exercise, teamwork, and community spirit,” Mark Isherwood - Lifestyle Coach.
“We’re excited to team up with LiveWire to bring this experience to even more people in Warrington.”
