Peter Astley MBE, pictured at our Family Mile in July 2023, announces an exciting new role at the Warrington Wolves Foundation
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our retiring Chair of Trustees, Peter Astley MBE.
Pete has been a valuable trustee for 10 years and has been Chair since 2020, doing so much good work behind the scenes to support the impactful delivery of the Foundations projects. In his volunteer role, he has spent innumerable hours providing guidance on our behalf, leading us out of covid and to a stronger position. The changes he has brought to us will enable us to continue to grow and strengthen in the coming years.
We’re delighted to announce Pete's journey will continue with us, in a brand-new operational role. Pete will become our Community Club Development Officer for the town. The role will see him develop a framework which can support the development of our Community Rugby League Clubs.
Pete has an incredible skill set, from working many years across the Public Sector, where he will be able to give back, influence, develop and make our Community Rugby League Clubs, something he is extremely passionate about.
He’ll be retaining his place on the Rugby League Management Board continuing to provide strategic insight while also reporting directly into the board on the finding of his work.
In Peter’s own words, “It’s been an absolute honour and privilege to support this wonderful organisation with it’s amazing team and dedicated volunteers, I am now looking forward to focusing my time on the development of Community Rugby League Clubs.”
