A North West consultancy focused on helping organisations invest in their people has pledged its support to a unique act of remembrance being organised by the Warrington Wolves Community Foundation.

Momentus has joined the Heroes of the WIRE Memorial Bike Ride as an official shirt sponsor, supporting the powerful international cycling challenge taking place in June 2026.

The four-day ride will see participants travel across Northern France and Belgium, visiting the battlefields, memorials and resting places of the 11 Warrington Wolves players who lost their lives during the First World War, before finishing at the iconic Menin Gate for the Last Post Ceremony.

Organised by the Warrington Wolves Community Foundation, the event is believed to be the first of its kind to connect the exact locations where the club’s fallen players fought and died with the memorials where they are remembered today.

Based in the North West, Momentus is a people-focused consultancy that works with organisations across the UK to help develop workplace culture, leadership and staff wellbeing. Through coaching, training and organisational support, the company helps businesses create environments where people can grow, feel valued and perform at their best.

The company has a strong history of supporting local clubs, charities and community organisations, not only through sponsorship but by offering time, expertise and guidance to help people and teams thrive.

Momentus was introduced to the memorial ride through friends taking part in the challenge and was inspired by the meaning behind the event, the connection to Warrington’s heritage and the opportunity to help honour the 11 Warrington Wolves players who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Their support as a shirt sponsor will help bring the memorial ride to life while raising vital funds for the Foundation’s work across Warrington.

Through programmes focused on mental health, disability inclusion, education and community sport, the Warrington Wolves Community Foundation works year-round to make Warrington a happier, healthier and more connected town.

James Perryman (Founder & Director), Momentus, “When a club or organisation is doing something that has meaning and purpose, that really catches our attention. This ride is about celebrating heritage, remembering sacrifice and bringing people together, and we wanted to support that in whatever way we could.

“The story behind the Heroes of the WIRE ride is incredibly powerful. It connects the past with the present and reminds people of the history and identity that makes Warrington Wolves such an important part of the community.”

The Heroes of the WIRE Memorial Bike Ride will take place in June 2026, with riders cycling approximately 225 miles along parts of the Western Front as they honour the legacy of the Warrington players who never returned from the war.

Funds raised through the challenge will directly support the Foundation’s community programmes across Warrington.
