Mens Hub Raises over £3000 for Warrington Wolves Community Foundation with “Mad Mile” Challenge

At Warrington Wolves Community Foundation, support from our community and fundraising efforts like those from Mens Hub make a huge impact. Recently, Mens Hub took on the “Mad Mile” - a powerful challenge in the name of mental health and local support programs. Their efforts raised over £3000, which will go directly toward the Foundation’s work. We’re especially proud of Mens Hub’s commitment.

The Mad Mile: No Ordinary Challenge

The Mad Mile isn’t your average fundraiser; it’s a mile-long endurance test filled with high-intensity physical challenges. The Mens Hub team braved this intense test, pushing through each grueling step to raise awareness for mental health and to support the Foundation’s mission. Their effort was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through grit and community spirit.

Karlton Bates: A Coach with a Foundation Connection

Mens Hub’s coach, Karlton Bates, has a unique connection to the Foundation. Years ago, he was the first-ever captain of the Warrington Wolves’ Priestley College Development Academy. As a young player, he displayed leadership on the field, and today, he channels that same passion into his work with Mens Hub, helping people improve their mental and physical health. Karlton’s dedication has come full circle as he now leads efforts to raise money and awareness for the Foundation that played a role in his early development.

Why Fundraising Like This Matters

The funds raised through the Mad Mile will make a tremendous difference in supporting our OFFLOAD and Extra-Time sessions, which provide participants with mental and physical health support, community connection, and fun activities. Fundraising events like this enable us to expand these programs, reaching even more people who can benefit from them.
