Jacobs sponsor our Disability teams
Warrington Wolves Foundation is delighted to welcome on board Jacobs as a proud sponsor of our Wheelchair, Physical Disability and Learning Disability Rugby League teams.
Jacobs, a global leader in engineering and technology solutions, have been keen supporters of a range of Warrington Wolves Foundation projects in recent years. The company’s logo will now be represented on the shirts of the three teams.
The partnership aims to promote inclusivity and continue to shine a light on the fantastic work being done in disability sport.
Warrington Wolves Foundation Disability Manager, Andrew Brady, said: “We’re delighted that Jacobs are joining us as we continue to drive forward the development of the inclusive variants of Rugby League, their investment will help us to continue to give people with disabilities the opportunity to play the game they love, for the club they love – being part of a team also helps our players to build their confidence and self-esteem as well as providing an environment for social interaction opportunities, none of which is possible without investment from businesses.”
Jacobs Vice President, Greg Willetts, added: “At Jacobs, we live inclusion, so our sponsorship of the Warrington Wolves physical disabilities, learning disabilities and wheelchair teams is a great opportunity to show our support for the club’s trailblazing achievements in making Rugby League open to all.
“This is part of our wider involvement with the Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation’s initiatives in education, inclusion and diversity, and mental health. We’re also the main sponsor for the Magic Weekend 300 Bike Ride, as we were last year. Jacobs employs 1,300 people in Warrington and we are well aware of how much the town values the foundation’s work.”
