Could you help bring Warrington together through the power of Rugby League?

Warrington Wolves Community Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and community-minded individual to join our team as a Community Activator.

This is more than just a coaching role. It is an opportunity to be out across Warrington, inspiring young people, building relationships, strengthening local communities and using the power of Rugby League to create positive experiences for people of all ages.

As part of our Community Activator team, you will play an important role in helping more people connect with the Foundation, Warrington Wolves and the wider community. You will support delivery in schools, engage with community groups and clubs, attend local events, and help us reach more people across the town.

We are looking for a real people person — someone who is confident, approachable, enthusiastic and proud to represent both Warrington Wolves Community Foundation and the Warrington Wolves badge.

About the Role

As a Community Activator, no two days will be the same.

You will be delivering Rugby League activity in schools across Warrington, supporting community events, engaging with local organisations and helping to create opportunities for more people to get involved in sport, physical activity and wider Foundation programmes.

This role will be a key part of our community-facing team — helping us build stronger links across the town, grow participation and create positive connections between local people, Warrington Wolves and the Foundation’s wider work.

What You’ll Be Doing

Inspiring Young People in Schools

You will deliver fun, engaging Rugby League sessions within primary schools, helping young people develop confidence, teamwork, resilience and a love of being active.

The role will support our ambition to build excitement around Rugby League across Warrington, giving children positive experiences of the sport and helping them feel connected to their local club and community.

Growing Community Engagement

You will work with community groups, clubs, organisations and local partners to create more opportunities for people of all ages to engage with the Foundation.

This could include supporting activity within different community settings, helping promote our wider programmes and encouraging more people to take part in opportunities across the town.

Creating Memorable Experiences

You will help deliver school competitions, festivals, community events, family engagement days and wider town-wide activities that bring people together and leave a lasting impression.

Our Community Activator team will be highly visible across Warrington, representing the Foundation at local events and helping more people understand who we are, what we do and how they can get involved.

Building Strong Relationships

A big part of this role will be about building trust and relationships.

You will develop positive links with schools, community clubs, local organisations and stakeholders, helping to strengthen our network and increase the reach of our programmes.

Championing Our Mission

You will act as an ambassador for Warrington Wolves Community Foundation and help us achieve our vision of creating a happier, healthier and more connected Warrington.

You will help promote the Foundation’s work, encourage people to engage with our programmes and create positive links between local communities and Warrington Wolves.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about working with children, young people and local communities
  • Enthusiastic about Rugby League and the positive impact sport can have
  • Confident delivering coaching sessions and engaging with groups of all ages
  • A strong communicator who enjoys meeting people and building relationships
  • Organised, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexible, with the ability to support occasional evening and weekend activity
  • Proud to represent Warrington Wolves Community Foundation and the Warrington Wolves badge
  • In possession of a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, which is essential for the role

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is engaging, positive and passionate about making a difference.
