Cara loves to run with the pack!

Cara Byrne has only played for Warrington Wolves U-11s twice so far – but she is loving the experience and making new friends.

Cara, who has autism and ADHD, joined the pack last summer and has been training throughout the winter.

Girls Rugby League Teams

Proud mum Shannon said: “Cara has been welcomed by all the girls and the coaches. She’s developing friendships and a love for playing rugby.

“She has faced the difficulty of being in a team that can swap and change instantly and was also asked to play for the opposing team recently which was a huge challenge which she took on amazingly.

“Her family is really proud and we wish her all the luck in enjoying her rugby.”

Cara said: “I’ve always been quite fast and strong so I think rugby is a good thing for me. That’s why I like it. My dad played Rugby League and I think to follow what my dad did would be the best.

“I’ve also made lots of friends.”
