A chance to inspire World Cup stars of the future

THE Women’s World Cup is finally underway and inspiring girls everywhere to get involved with the great sport of Rugby League.

And, on the back of continued growth, Warrington Wolves’ Community Women and Girls’ Club is actively seeking coaches to become part of the talented squad.

Winter training is currently taking place at Victoria Park on a Monday and Friday until March, when it switches to Monday, Wednesday or Friday – depending on the teams – at Crosfields’ Recreation Club, Sankey. Match days are on Saturdays for the girls and Sundays for the open age women during the regular Rugby League season.

Gary Meacham, Chairman of the Warrington Wolves Girls Community Club said:

“Volunteers are an integral part of any grassroots sports team and we are blessed to have some amazing coaches at our club. However, due to the demand and continued growth in women and girls’ rugby within the Warrington area, we need more help.”

If you or someone you know would like to get involved in the coaching set up, email warringtongirlsrl@gmail.com giving your name, contact number and details of your coaching credentials together with any relevant experience you may have. The club can’t wait to hear from you!
